Grades are calculated based on the following percentages:
Tests: 15%
Homework: 35%
Classwork / Participation: 30%
Projects: 20%
- Benchmark Testing counts as a major test grade each marking period. Other teacher-made tests also count as well. Be mindful of testing dates and prepare accordingly.
- Homework is assigned 4-5 times per week. Students are responsible for copying the homework assignment during class and handing it in in a timely manner. (See Home Page for online textbook link and log-on information.
- Classwork / Participation Grades: It is easy to maintain a high average simply by arriving to class on time, in uniform, prepared to learn and by remaining on task.
- Projects are hands-on, cumulative review pieces of major concepts covered in class.
